From One Mama to Another…
I don’t know about you, but the holidays always sneak up on me. One minute it’s back-to-school shopping, and the next thing I know, I’m knee-deep in glitter, trying to remember if I signed up for cookies or juice boxes for the class party.
And somewhere in all that chaos, I’m supposed to find the perfect family photo, order cards, and mail them on time? Yeah, right.
That’s why I started offering Holiday Mini Sessions early — so you and I (fellow mama warriors) can actually skip the holiday hustle and breathe a little easier when the season kicks into high gear.
Because I promise you, planning ahead now — while it’s still hot enough to melt the sidewalk chalk — will make a huge difference when the peppermint mochas start flowing.
Here are five things you’ll actually have time for this year… because you booked your session early.
1. Real, Slow Saturdays
You know those dreamy weekends where nothing’s on the calendar and your whole family just is — no rushing, no multitasking, no scrambling?
That can be your reality.
Imagine rewatching your favorite Christmas movies with your family — or watching your kids’ faces light up as they experience the magic of those classics for the very first time. Or maybe you’ve got a Hallmark movie playing softly in the background while your family gathers around the table for a board game or rolls out cookie dough on the kitchen counter.
All of that feels a whole lot sweeter when you’re not worrying about what everyone’s wearing for a photo session, when you’ll find time to book it, or if you'll even be able to get on a photographer’s calendar.
When your Christmas Mini Session is done and dusted early, those slow, cozy Saturdays become yours again — and that’s the kind of holiday magic worth planning for.
2. Holiday Cards That Don’t Feel Like a Last-Minute Sprint
I won’t lie, I’ve absolutely been the mom trying to upload a photo to Minted at 10pm — and still unable to mail them out on time so they could reach family and friends before Christmas.
But when your Columbus, GA Family Photos are already in your inbox (well before December), you actually have the time to choose your favorites, design the card you really want, and maybe even hand-address a few. No stress. No rush fees. No cutting corners.
3. Being in the Moment — Instead of Managing It All
Put up the holiday decorations. Buy all the Christmas presents. Wrap all the Christmas presents. Don’t forget to move the elf around the house. Prepare for extended family to come to the house or if you’re traveling make sure you buy the plane tickets and pack the suitcases.
When your to-do list is a mile long, it’s easy to miss the sweet stuff — like decorating cookies, wrapping gifts with your kids, or just sitting on the couch enjoying the glow of the tree and wondering would it really be that weird if we kept the tree up all year round.
But when your 2025 Holiday Family Photos are already taken care of, you’re not scrambling. You’re soaking it in. You’re in the magic — not just orchestrating it.
4. Wardrobe Choices Without the Meltdown
Let’s be honest — figuring out what everyone’s going to wear is half the battle (and sometimes the biggest headache).
But when you book early, you’re not rushing through your closet the night before or panic-ordering shoes from Amazon. You get access to my curated client wardrobe, style help if you need it, and time to make it fun instead of frustrating.
I’ve got everything from neutral dresses to cozy sweaters — and yes, something your toddler won’t try to rip off.
5. Actually Enjoying Your Photos
I don’t want your photos to just sit in your camera roll. I want them on your walls, in frames, in that album your kids pull out every year with cookie-sticky fingers.
And the only way that happens is if you have the time to choose your favorites, print them, and actually enjoy them.
That’s why I open my Columbus, GA photos with Santa early — because I know what it’s like to forget until January and then think, “Oh well, maybe next year.”
Let’s not say that again, okay?
