Aside from their newborn gallery, if I had to guess which gallery parents revisit most often, it would probably be their sitter session. Personally, I believe this stage is the most fun!
By around six months, babies are usually sitting independently—or are very close to it. They're curious about everything around them, full of expressions, and completely delighted by the world they're discovering.
This is the sweet spot of baby's first year.
They're no longer sleepy newborns, but they're usually not crawling away quite yet either.
The result?
Big smiles.
Chunky baby rolls.
Bright eyes.
And so much personality.
One question I hear often is, "What if my baby isn't sitting yet?"
My answer: That's completely okay.
While we call it a 6 month sitter session, every baby develops at their own pace. When families are part of my Baby's First Year Membership, I check in before the session to see how baby is doing. If they're not sitting independently yet, we simply move the session out a few weeks and check back in closer to the new date.
The goal isn't to photograph a six-month-old.

Photographing a nine-month-old definitely keeps me on my toes.

My youngest son, Beckett, definitely fell into that last category.
